How To Clear Your Cache

Step By Step on how to quickly clear your cache.

Updated over a week ago

When you visit a website, your browser will save some of that website's data to help you load it faster in the future. That information is stored in the browsers' cache. This is typical, but sometimes it may accidentally hang on to data that's outdated which can cause performance and visual errors on some sites.

If you're suddenly presented with errors when loading Builtfirst pages, try clearing your browser's cache. Close any Builtfirst windows/tabs that you're logged into before following instructions for your browser:

Google Chrome
Firefox

FAQ

Q: Will clearing the cache delete my saved passwords?
A: No, but you will be automatically logged out of any sites you've logged into recently. You can immediately log back in using any saved credentials.

Q: How "long"/far back should I clear the cache?

Most browsers have you select how much of the cache's data should be removed.
The best option depends on when you first encountered errors. If you've only had problems today, consider clearing for the last 24hr. If you've noticed oddities over a longer period of time, try clearing data for the last week or last 4 weeks.

Q: Can you clear my cache for me?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot. Each browser's cache is unique to your device. Only someone with access to your machine/device can initiate this process.
