What's a Listing?
When you "Create New Listing" you're creating a boilerplate product/service. This is where you'll tell us, generally, what your company offers - not which specific deals/discounts you're advertising.
β
Changes to listings will apply to all deals within that listing, so exercise caution when making updates or publishing/unpublishing. If your product/service is unpublished, so are the deals inside of it.
β
What's a Deal?
Deals are where you'll add details about the specific discount you want to offer, designate who can use it (this is called "restricting access" or "segmentation"), and provide instructions on how to get it.
Every deal can have different details and segmentation. You're not limited based on what product/service each deal is in, so create deals based on whatever works best for your organization.
Listing and Deal Visibility: Segmentation
Sellers determine who can see their listings and deals. However, they are limited to displaying offers only to marketplaces that have issued an invitation via Builtfirst. Even if a seller is already on Builtfirst, they can't show offers to marketplaces that have not explicitly invited them to. (This rule applies to all except Preferred Sellers!)
Below, you'll find a few samples of the most common ways that sellers segment their offers:
