How Can I Get AWS Credits?

Questions related to AWS Activate credit deals

Updated over a week ago

AWS Activate Credits are deals found in many marketplaces across Builtfirst. Here's what we know about them based on experience and AWS' guidance.

I want to redeem credits. What do I do?

  • Search the marketplace you're invited to for an AWS deal

    • If you don't see one, ask your marketplace contacts about it!

  • Complete AWS' credits application on their website, using the org ID

  • AWS will review your application and send an email to you with their decision

What is my AWS org ID?

The organization (org) ID is a unique identifier assigned to firms that are accepted into AWS' activate provider program. The ID can be found in the Redemption Instructions on the discount details page in respective marketplaces. You'll need to enter this when completing AWS' application for credits.

I entered the org ID, but AWS says it's invalid. Help!

Reach out to your your marketplace contact directly for next steps. The marketplace that displays the discount will need to reach out to AWS to confirm whether all details are up-to-date. If updates are needed, AWS will make those changes in Builtfirst.

I applied for $ABC in credits, but received $XYZ. Why?

Credits are awarded case-by-case once AWS reviews your application. We can't see any of the details, so contact AWS directly with followup questions.

AWS said they can't verify my application. What does that mean?

After you submit your AWS Activate application, AWS will try to confirm whether you're affiliated with the activate provider whose org ID you entered. Note that AWS will reach out to the marketplace owner - not Builtfirst.

If the marketplace owner does not reply or says you are not affiliated, AWS will reject your application.

Still have questions? Head over to the AWS Activate Credits FAQ to learn more. Keep in mind that while AWS is a seller on Builtfirst, we cannot speak to their internal processes, timelines, or changes they may make to their activate/startups program. Your best source for information in all cases is the seller themselves.
