For marketplace owners that want to enable enterprise identity management for team members

Team members log into your company's Okta account, which then grants access to apps of your choosing, such as Builtfirst. They will not need to log in a second time to reach the marketplace admin portal.

The Okta integration is strictly for your internal team members. Buyers cannot log into your marketplace via this methos.

This feature is only available as an enterprise product that your team manages directly in Okta. More information about Okta's SSO can be found here.


Enabling Okta Identity Management

Clickpath: top right menu > Integrations > "Configure"


Tutorial: Configuring Okta with Builtfirst SSO

These steps within Okta can only be completed by a user with Super Administrator permissions.

1) Create a new application integration in Okta

2) Select the options below

3) Continue with the below selections

Note that the client id will be required for the Builtfirst configuration

4) Visit the Okta setup page in your Builtfirst account

  • Client ID: obtained from the configuration steps above

  • Account: the domain of your Okta instance, it will look like [example].okta.com

  • Domain: your organization's email domain, email addresses using that domain will be redirected to the configured Okta account to log in automatically
